Why buy new storage boxes when you can just reuse old sweet tins? They are so pretty and versatile. My mum used sweet tins, usually left over after Christmas, to put all her sewing supplies in. I also remember using them to take buns into school for bake sales. I would have to put a label with my name on the tin otherwise I would be in trouble for not bringing it home! I found these two lovelies in a vintage shop and charity shop. The large one was full of old sewing supplies which was rather a nice surprise. They look so lovely on my sewing shelf. I must find more!
The illustrations are iconic. I wish they still made them like this now.
